Roomify

A responsive rental platform designed for international students in the Netherlands. The project focused on simplifying the housing search process while ensuring clarity in pricing and verification details. Through A/B testing and user feedback, I evaluated two interface variations to determine which layout best supported trust and decision-making.

Roomify was an early-stage UX project developed during my first year of university, focusing on improving the housing search experience for international students. The concept aimed to simplify how students discover, compare, and secure accommodation before arriving in a new country, addressing common frustrations around unclear listings and unreliable information.

The project involved designing two iterations of the platform for A/B testing. Each version explored different layout structures, search filters, and visual hierarchies to evaluate which supported better task efficiency and user confidence. Insights from usability sessions guided the final recommendations for clearer navigation and trust-building design elements.

Key Outcomes

  • Designed two functional prototypes to test layout clarity and conversion flow.

  • Identified key usability improvements through comparative A/B testing.

  • Applied visual consistency and information hierarchy to reduce cognitive load.

Skills & Focus Areas

  • User research and A/B testing methodology.

  • Wireframing and prototyping in Figma.

  • UX design for international student accessibility and clarity.
